Try convincing an Apple addict to switch to an Android device and they will open a debate you’ll wish you’d never started. So passionate and so convinced that they can never be swayed, you’ll wish you’d stayed silent.<\/span><\/p>\n

The same goes for Wix, WordPress, and Squarespace fans. They love their platforms and don’t believe in any others. They can’t see why anyone else would ever use another platform and only want to know and love what they have built their website on.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why? Like anything in life, we know what we are comfortable with. We know what works for us. New is scary.<\/span><\/p>\n

And when we come together with like-minded people (other WordPress or Wix lovers, we collectively love on – and hate on – the same things).<\/span><\/p>\n

So which platform should your website be built on?<\/span><\/p>\n

Here’s the truth from the founder of a marketing agency who has built over 200 websites on ALL of the platforms and loves them ALL equally.<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

  • Google does not have a preference for any platform over the other. I learned this directly from engineers and Google management when I was AT GOOGLE.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Search engines and website visitors care about the content on your website, how you name your page, label your images, and choose your keywords.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Drop and drag builders are the only user-friendly versions of the other platforms. They <\/span>just wanted to reach the market of users who didn’t know how to code, so they spent time and money creating a drop-and-drag interface for you.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Being able to edit all areas of your own website by yourself and having complete control of your website is critical.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Your website cannot be a reflection of your consortia or host agency. it has to directly reflect the niche your business is focused on and the audience you want to attract.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The layout of your website needs to be clean and make sense. It has to convince your audience that you are the solution to their needs.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The platform that you choose needs to allow you a luxury design. If it doesn’t offer you <\/span>the ability to have a layout with white space, the right fonts, and a sophisticated layout, <\/span>it’s not for you.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Whether you opt for Wix, WordPress, Squarespace, or another platform, the key is to have the freedom and control to craft a website that mirrors your business’s niche and resonates with your target audience.
